About

Fangyuan Hu is a recent graduate for Master in Design at Harvard Graduate School of Design (‘20) investigating architecture in the context of criminal justice. She graduated from Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc) with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2017. She is a passionate and innovative thinker. She had worked on a broad range of projects for undergraduate studies at Sci-Arc including Vertical Cemetery(instructed by Michael Young), Wolf School(instructed by Michael Rotondi), Russian national bank (instructed by Eric Owen Moss), single-family homes (instructed by Dwayne Oyler) and many more.

While at Harvard, she has developed strong research and advocating skills. She is proficient with design, 3d modeling, illustrations, and model fabrication. She is interested in opportunities that bridge the gap between social justice and design. She is a certified LEED Green Associates (2016) and is actively pursuing the architect’s license.
